Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Gainesville. Unbelievable. My wife is lactose intolerant and she never gets to have variety in her ice cream or baked goods. This place shocked us. Usually I avoid vegan, but I am definitely am coming back. We got the matcha latte and the maple chai donut as well as the cold brew and the magic bar ice cream flavors, no complaints ππ» Great atmosphere and service as well βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ

I came to Karma Cream after a trail walk with a friend and she suggested we stop here, and Iβm so glad we did. Iβve only ever come for the ice cream before, but this time I tried the ceremonial matcha with oat milk and the Turkey Pesto Sandwich, and wowβ¦ I was genuinely impressed. Iβm not vegan by any means, but I didnβt miss the βrealβ turkey at all, which completely caught me by surprise. The sandwich was exactly what I was craving: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Seitan Turkey, vegan provolone, cilantro walnut pesto, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on multigrain bread came together beautifully. The bread was soft but nicely toasted, and every bite was and satisfying. The matcha was smooth, earthy, and delicious one of the best Iβve had in Gainesville. Even though the place was packed, the staff was quick, kind, and on top of everything. Overall, such a great experience. Iβll definitely be coming back for more than just ice cream from now on.

Decent spot with room for improvement. Karma Cream is an okay place overall, and I can see why people like it. The location is great -- easy to get to, walkable, and the inside is a pleasant spot to sit, get some work done, or meet up with friends. The vibe is a strong point. The food and ice cream are fine, though I personally find them a bit too sweet. Nothing bad, just not very balanced in flavor. As a tea drinker, the drinks are where I feel most underwhelmed. The tea tends to be over-steeped, and the chai in particular is extremely over-spiced. I could practically feel the cinnamon permeate my soul -- itβs intense but still just drinkable. Itβs not a bad place, and I wouldnβt mind coming back for the atmosphere. With a few tweaks to sweetness and tea preparation, it could easily move up in rating.
